Calming Kitchikewana the Great
Kitchikewana, a Huron Legend has it, was the son of the Great Spirit Manitou. He was a Giant that walked the earth. Easily upset and when his unrequited love for Wanakita was not reciprocated, he picked up the rocks and soil with his massive hand and threw it across Georgian Bay, thus creating the 30000 Islands. He sleeps now at Giant's Tomb Island slumbering, though at times I am sure he can hear us and he dreams of the stories we tell of the great Kitchikewana.
